SAD: Photos from new earthquake disaster in Nepal, 32 confirmed dead

32 persons have been confirmed dead and over 1000 injured in the 7.3 magnitude earthquake that hit Nepal's eastern region this morning. The quake, which comes two and a half weeks after the first one that killed over 8000 people, was so strong, it was felt in New Delhi, India. Vulnerable buildings from last disaster have now collapsed. The quake also triggered landslide. See some pics after the cut

QUESTION OF THE DAY; Should the 200 girls pregnant for Boko Haram members get abortion?

According to UNFPDA, about 200 girls who were recently rescued by Nigerian troops from Sambisa forest are reportedly pregnant for members of Boko Haram who have no identity. Some persons have called for the girls to abort the pregnancies. Others hold strong religious views and have said the girls should not. What is your take on this?

Obasanjo, Buhari, Gowon, others attend GEJ’s last Council of State meeting [PHOTOS]

President Jonathan is about now presiding over the last Council of State meeting in his administration at the presidential villa Abuja. Past Nigerian leaders in attendance at the meeting includes president elect Gen Muhammadu Buhari, Gen. Yakubu Gowon, Alhaji Shehu Shagari, Gen Ibrahim Babangida, Gen Abdulsalami Abubakar and Chief Ernest Shonekan.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo who is also present at the meeting came 40 minutes late. He got their 12.10pm when the meeting started 11.30.



State Governors of Ogun, Ondo, Sokoto, Rivers, Kaduna, Bayelsa, Adamawa, Nasarawa, Benue, Ebonyi, Akwa Ibom, Zamfara, Niger, Plateau, Cross River and Taraba State are also present at the meeting while Deputy governors of Kano, Kogi, Oyo and Yobe States represented their state governors.

Senate President David Mark, Speaker of the House of Representatives Aminu Tambuwal and former Chief Justices of Nigeria including Muhammadu Uwais, Alfa Belgore and Idris Kutigi are also present at the meeting.
